Okay sweet man …here it goes….

Who ARE you? You say and do the nicest things for me. Gratitude isn’t a big enough word to describe how wonderful it is to have you around.

You have been added to my favorite list and somehow I think that we will get along just fine.

Oh!…and I must go to your wifes blog also…see who is married to such a nice/old fashioned/ kind of guy :)

Happy new year Brian :D Darlene

    Hi Brian and Diane,

  6. Ani Says:

I’m writing to let you know that I’ve added a link to your blog onto the side bar of my own site. As a survivor I’m trying to reach out and connect with as many other survivors in the wordpress community as I can. My blog is fairly new so I thought adding links to other survivor blogs that I stumble across might be a good place to start. If for any reason you would like me to remove the link to your site please let me know. I can be reached at anistar@withdissonance.net. And if at anytime in the future you’d like to add a link to my site from any of your own pages that would be fine with me. Thanks so much.

    Hope Sent,
    ~ Ani

Fighting mad is Carol? LOL!!! Where is the picture?

My Costa Rica photo was with my daughter the day before Primetime aired. We flew back to the States that night… and it was really the last day of happiness I had for a very long time. Glad to report that life is pretty rocking now.

FYI- The trial, Ogborn v. McDonald’s et al begins September 10th- you may already know this… and, McD’s is taking Louise’s deposistion for the 4th time on August 6. Send good thoughts into the Universe for her. She is something else.

  8. dlennis Says:

Wow Brian, you are a very talented guy! Fantastic blog!

  9. Paula Says:

How coincidental Brian. I happen to know Louise and her family. Her father Brian rode my school bus. I’m not sure how old Brian is but I am 45 and I think he is around 43 or so. His wifes name is Diane. They live in Taylorsville, Ky. Brian was scout master for cub scouts. Dianne was Den leader and Louise came to all the meetings. I was assistant den leader. Louise is a good kid that was brought up to respect authority and do what she was told. Up to a certain point I think that is what happened. Then by the time she knew it was wrong she couldn’t get out of it. I dream about her often.

Hi Brian. You have nice bright and happy blog! A blog which I am sure is just like you! I have added you to my blogroll. :) Guess I should have come here before…but well, now I will go through your posts by and by.

  11. Mark Melde Says:

    Brian,
You have captured my emotions with the 21st Century poem. With your permission I wish to use it for a speech in one of my classes. I will of course give your name as the author. I would really appreciate this.

  12. Kate Says:

    Brian!

Kate from over at Why did the insulin die! I have been pleasantly distracted by your immensely entertaining blog! I really must add you to my blog roll, it will be a breath of fresh air to have you in there, it is saturated with D blogs at present. I know that I must sound like a very OCD Mum in relation to Diabetes, but then again,in some ways I am sure you can relate.
Just wanted to let you know that Lance leads a deliciously oblivious life. His diabetes just slots into his life-if it’s an issue, we fix it up. It is my eyes and ears that see and hear all of the ignorance and discrimination in the world, therefore I must write to vent. My son is not your every day six year old. He can have a conversation with you better than a lot of 17 year olds can, and he is is highly intelligent and intuitive.
I guess in some ways it is impossible for a kid diagnosed with T1 to lead a ‘normal’ life. He has met many other diabetics-but he doesn’t feel a kindredmess with them..he understands them, but he doesn’t feel like he “belongs” or fits in better with them. He is SUCH an individual-he oozes charm, charisma,he possesses a sensational venacular, and an incredible memory. He is the king of metaphors, and wise old sayings.Diabetes affects me MUCH more than it does him. (emotionally of course.)

Please wish your wife the very best for me! I always have such admiration for a veteran-it takes a lot of hard work to get from year to year! Love your work..I’ll definitely be stopping by now that I am aquainted with an eccentric!
    Peace out—K8
