Each week there will be two prompts for the Rockin’ Chair Writers. Prompt A will always be the same each week. It’s for those of you who want an optional prompt not a specific prompt. As such, any creative theme is welcome whether it be a poem, a video, a painting, an audio clip; anything is welcome here. Prompt B will be specific instructions about a topic of interest and again, any media is welcome to fulfill the prompt. You see I don’t believe that ‘writing’ only takes place in words on paper or a computer. Writing is a state of mind when you capture an image and bring it to life. When you post something on your blog, bring it to life for us. It doesn’t even have to be fresh. If you want to dust off something from the attic archives, please do.
Each week at 12:07 am East Coast time in the United States, the new post will be published. (Provided WordPress doesn’t forget.)

Prompt A is: “Tell us what’s really on your mind.”
Prompt B is: “Do you have any funny pet stories?”
The Only Rules:

Thanks everyone for the support in your comments. I’m feeling much better today and off to do some chores. It’s been raining the last three days here off and on and keeping an eye to the tropics for early next week.
These pictures are of Vincent, love the way the flash makes his eyes look.
Have a great weekend and I’ll see y’all on Monday.
Love
It seems like danger signals – green, “I want the yoghurt”, yellow, “give me the yoghurt now or else….”. I’m glad you didn’t get on to red eyes as that could have got nasty!
I wanted to share this poem that I wrote recently, as I feel it’s one of the best I’ve written… and incorporates a lot of the lessons I’ve learnt lately about writing. Plus it definitely qualifies as being about what’s on my mind!
It’s about horses.
Does that qualify?!

aw… I’m in love; I’d share my yogurt with him any day
Your Vincent looks a little like my Mr Mackie. Mind you, my Mr Mackie has eyes that look like your cat, even without a camera flash. Two Pets

We’ll be paying very close attention to Tropical Storm Fay, soon to be Hurricane Fay this weekend and early next week. The link to the post above will be updated for the next four days.
Brian,
I’ve been wanting to participate, but I haven’t felt free to express myself. So, I’ve started a new blog to do just that.
I love photo stories – sometimes they say so much more than words! Your kitty is such a doll!
What a beautiful cat!
Reminds me of one of my favorites from childhood. Awww warm fuzzies!
Love your prompts Brian. This blog is an absolute gold mine for inspiration.
Lovely, lovely photos.
Love the eyes! Great shots…
