Why cell phones never caught on
The weekly prompt at Sunday Scribblings is ‘Telephone’.
“You have reached Caesar’s phone. I’m sorry I can’t take your call at this time, please… Beep. Hello? Hi Mark Antony. No… I was in the bath, you know, the plump slave you found for me… what’s that? I can’t hear you. What? No, no it’s the new plan advertised at last month’s games. Yeah that one, free minutes, unlimited text. Crappy service though, whatever happened to pleasing the customer? I still can’t hear you Mark. Last night? You were at a march with Ida? Who? The Senate? A march on the Senate? You’re breaking up again… meet me with a petition? Stupid phone… no not you, no! I told you I’m not upset about Cleopatra… that’s ancient history… I’m ancient history if I march with Ida? Who is this Ida? At the Senate? How dare this woman… hello? Hello? Stupid cell phone, I hate these things.”
“I’ll show this Ida that no one marches on the Senate while I’m in charge. Where’s my fresh tunic? Petition my ass… just wait till I get my hands on you Brutus.”

Well, he certainly got the point after that conversation, didn’t he?
Several dozen points actually.
ha! excellent Brian, witty and clever. I am enjoying the stuff from Rose, be sure to tell her
Aniin BG, been unmotivated for writing lately. By strange coincidence that coincides with Rose’s novel. Hmmmmmmmmm.
Well, let Rose do what she needs to do. That way Brian has more time for his blogger buddies
I don’t have much choice DB. Rose listens to me and then does what she wants anyway.
LOL Very clever Brian!
I wish I could have all my blog friends over but I can’t even get family up here. LOL
HUGS

And did they have unlimited Roamin’ privileges?
That was good for a chuckle. Thanks, Brian.
Brian, that was brilliant!
indolence?
Tammy, just say the word and all your blog buddies will be there.
Paisley, wishful thinking. At least we don’t have implants yet, Rose’s imagination non withstanding.
Yes they did Granny. They ‘roamed’ all over Europe.
You’re welcome Quill. Is OC back home yet?
Thank you Gautami, praise indeed.
